Occupation: Comics creator, editorial cartoonist, caricaturist and experienced professional community arts facilitator. My artistic practice encompasses a number of artforms around storytelling including puppetry, clowning, videography, performance art, writing.
Influence: Influential authors are french, belgian, american, Argentinian, UK, italian, namely Cabu, Fred, Franquin, Steadman, Munoz, Pratt, Boucq, Crumb. subjects of interest are mainly societal, social, political, personal and emotional. My comics work is satirical, poetical and shares attributes and elements common to authors of the magical realism genre. My favourite book author of this particular genre is Mikhael Bulgakov (A dog's heart”, “The Master & Margarita”). Mediums I tend to mainly work in black & white or using colour minimally, with ink, ink pen, markers, pencils, graphite. Previous work includes cartoons for social and political campaigns newsletters, art events, monthly local and national newspapers, private and public commissions, zines, independent small publications. Winner of 2010 “CARTOONING FOR PEACE” Editorial cartooning contest in Nimes, France.
Likes Boating, reading books, laughing a lot and getting paid, collecting seemingly random objects, word play and thoughts juggling. Dislikes Getting punched in the face or having wet feet in socks on a cold rainy day except if in a bath. People say: “A hard-working sweet hearted M*** F*** economic immigrant with no sense of humour!” People also say: "A tough guy but will speak under torture or if offered ginger beer and dark chocolate".
